Hunter region benefits from innovative outlook
Hushpak Engineering has commissioned TAFE NSW – Hunter Institute to test a recently-patented soundproofing product to determine various properties including mechanical strength capabilities.
Hunter Institute’s engineering section located on the Newcastle Campus is recognised by industry for its specialist testing equipment which staff and students utilise in everyday learning.
Managing Director of Hushpak, Norman Ling, said the customised practical skills training and industry-specific equipment available at Hunter Institute made the testing process a natural collaboration.
‘We specifically sought out TAFE NSW as our product testing provider ahead of other engineering facilities and education providers, mainly because of their reputation as an industry-relevant, flexible and passionate organisation,’ Mr Ling said.
